Cockpit
Cockpit is a private, single-user personal assistant that helps its owner keep track of everything they have promised and everything that is due. It is not a public service, and it has exactly one user: its owner.
What it does
- Reads the owner's own Gmail to find tasks, replies that are owed, bills and follow-ups, and lists them as suggestions for the owner to approve or dismiss.
- Reads the owner's own Google Calendar to see what is already scheduled, and adds an event only after the owner approves it.
- Saves reply drafts in the owner's Gmail Drafts folder. It never sends email, and it never deletes anything.
- Can label the owner's mail (for example "Cockpit/Follow-up") and, only for senders the owner chose, move routine mail out of the inbox. This is undoable and nothing is deleted.
Why it asks for Google access
Gmail and Google Calendar access is used only to do the things listed above for the owner's own account. Nothing is shared with other people, sold, or used for advertising. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and how Google data is handled.
